@MJINews: Report: Majority of California’s #MMJ Patients Support @HillaryClinton
On Oct. 27, 2016, on the heels of its recent $13 million Series B round of financing, Eaze, a medical marijuana delivery service in the state of California, released its first data report on the voting preferences of registered medical marijuana patients in California.
“While medical marijuana patients comprise a diverse set of voters, we found that whether they’re voting for Trump or Hillary, 97 percent of them think adult use of cannabis should be federally legal. And as we’ve seen in other industries, policy follows public sentiment,” said Keith McCarty, CEO and founder of Eaze.
Beyond finding overwhelming support for federal legalization, Eaze’s survey of 5,000 registered medical marijuana patients also found that 85% are registered to vote, 81% plan to vote for Hillary Clinton, 67% use medical marijuana daily and 61% have been using medical marijuana for more than five years, with PTSD, anxiety and depression ranking as the leading ailments for cannabis use.
