@MJINews: Illinois Banks $4.1 Million in Medical #Cannabis Sales for October

On Nov. 2, 2016, the Illinois Medical Cannabis Pilot Program announced that the Illinois Department of Public Health had approved applications for a total of 12,000 qualifying patients and recorded approximately $4.1 million in retail medical cannabis sales for the month of October.

Of the $4.1 million in sales, dry flower accounted for $2.3 million and concentrates/infused-products accounted for $1.75 million. The state’s 46 licensed medical cannabis dispensaries collectively served 6,829 patients, who bought a total of 193,204 grams of dry flower.

The state has logged approximately $26.3 million in retail sales since dispensaries opened for business on Nov. 9, 2015.
